High Standards Cleaning in the Food Industry
Assignment: Our long-standing cooperation with the food industry and the “Papadopoulou” Biscuit Factory, led this company to entrust us with the complex task of General Cleaning of its factory premises in Thessaloniki. It was a difficult and complex project, with the managers of the company “Papadopoulou” defining as fundamental priorities and axes of action of our mission, the areas of occupational safety and quality in the provision of work.
The organization: In order to achieve an excellent final result in the so demanding General Cleaning of the specific factory facilities, the staff of TRUEWORK Facility Solutions set up a fully qualified operational team, which undertook the mission, demonstrating knowledge, experience and detailed work. The degree of difficulty was increased by the necessity of using auxiliary means and structures in the General Cleaning operation, such as scaffolding and all Personal Protective Equipment, which were deemed imperative to be used.
Work Programme:
- Cleaning of side walls and ceilings from various types of dirt (depending on each workplace), through the use of special scaffolding, as well as all necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Cleaning of glass panes (internal – external) and removal of all salts, using lifting machines and all necessary PPE. (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Cleaning of the surrounding area (removal of all kinds of dirt) using high pressure machines
- Greenery maintenance, under the supervision of our company’s agronomist
- Removal of garbage from the ramps and washing using high pressure machines
- Dry cleaning of side panels, roof panels, RAKS, cavity walls, and other points
- The execution: It should be noted that the high specialization requirements of this mission required the use of cleaning products absolutely specific for cleaning areas where food products are kept. Our crew used exclusively and entirely such specialised cleaning products approved for food facilities. All cleaning operations at the “Papadopoulou” factory premises were carried out under the constant supervision of a foreman of our company, while the final result was excellent, with the managers of the biscuit factory expressing their absolute satisfaction.
