Aircraft General Cleaning
Assignment: in the framework of TRUEWORK Facility Solutions cooperation with the “Mouzenidis Group”, we were assigned a project of particular importance and high symbolism: the cleaning of the aircraft that had undertaken the transport of the Holy Tabernacle of St. Helen and the Holy Wood from Venice to Athens. The mission took place while the aircraft was at the State Airport “Macedonia” in Thessaloniki, preparing for the sacred and highly responsible journey. The company was called upon to ensure that the aircraft was delivered in perfect condition in the minimum time window available.
Organization:
This particular mission was characterized by two main challenges: the high symbolic and operational value of the transport, and the extremely limited time frame within which the cleaning work had to be completed. TRUEWORK Facility Solutions professionalism was put to full effect with the immediate formation of an operational team of ten (10) skilled cleaning technicians, who approached the project with absolute consistency and full operational readiness. The selection of cleaning products was based on strict standards for cleaning aircraft interior and exterior surfaces.
Work Schedule:
- General cleaning of the cabin interior and cockpit
- Cleaning of seats, floors, and surfaces using specialized, non-aggressive products
- Disinfection of high-touch areas (handles, switches, tray tables)
- Care and polishing of luggage compartments and overhead bins
- Inspection and cleaning of boarding/disembarkation doors
- Exterior cleaning of key aircraft surfaces (where permitted)
Execution:
The TRUEWORK Facility Solutions team operated with absolute focus on precision, speed, and the quality of the final result. All tasks were fully completed within the tight timeframe, under the supervision of a Project Manager. The aircraft was delivered in excellent condition, fully prepared to carry out its special mission.
